I think we can all agree that while Omaha is a WONDERFUL place to live, people aren't flocking here for the lovely, predictable, mild climate.
So when it comes to outdoor sessions, I keep an eye on the forecast. Weathermen are consistently wrong, so even if the forecast is calling for rain, I hold off on deciding whether or not to reschedule until about an hour before the start of the session.
Some people really want outdoor photos and are willing to wait for a better day. Some people are on a deadline and just need to get these pictures DONE and we switch to the studio. We can do either, whichever you'd prefer.
In terms of excessive heat or cold, we can just play that by ear, too. No one looks good sweating, (and I want your photos to look good, too!) so if the heat index is low-to-mid-90s, we can reschedule or go to the studio. And while snow is cold, there is something really magical about photos with snowflakes -- imagine the adorable candids! Sometimes weather can give you an opportunity!
