How thoughtful and romantic is this guy?!?!

He calls and tells me that he wants to propose to his girlfriend.  In order to get it photographed without tipping her off, we play it off as if  the session is simply to get pictures with his kids and them together.  Hee hee.

So we spend the first 45 mintues of the shoot taking some regular family and kiddo shots.  Then, at the end, a picture of just the two of them.  That was our secret clue that he was going to pop the question.   It was honestly one of the very best sessions EVER.  I was crying, too.

The holidays are a CRAZY busy time for photographers.  Now that the new year is in full swing, things are returning to normal for me.

And normal for me, is getting to meet sweet couples like this one.  They will be getting married later this year, and I have the privilege of capturing it! 

We started out with an engagement session last week.  It was great -- even with the snow!

So, how much can you adore a couple?  They were so great to work with, and I had a WONDERFUL time at their wedding.  Did I mention it was at the Durham Museum and BEAUTIFUL?!?!  Here are a few photos, and if you want to be swept away like I was, please watch the video at the end.
